I was organizing transportation for a large group in Hampton, and we had a lot of details to work through with different pickup times and stops. The reservation team helped us compare options for getting everyone from the hotel near the convention area over to our events downtown and around the entertainment district. They were patient, responsive, and kept working with me until we found a setup that made sense for our group.
Planning group transportation in Hampton can get stressful fast, but they made it much easier.

Hampton, Virginia Party Bus Services We Offer
From the sandy stretches of Buckroe Beach to historic Fort Monroe, Party Bus Chesapeake handles every kind of group ride in Hampton, Virginia. Weddings, proms, corporate retreats, bachelor parties, airport runs, sporting events, winery tours — we move them all, every day of the year, with the right-sized vehicle for the job.

Hampton Airport Shuttles & Transportation
Hampton sits perfectly between two major Virginia airports, and a Party Bus Chesapeake airport shuttle takes the stress out of either pickup. Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) at 900 Bland Blvd in Newport News is just 15 minutes up I-64 from downtown Hampton, with charter buses using the designated commercial pickup area outside the main terminal — perfect for smaller groups or quick regional jumper flights. For most major international and connecting flights, your group will fly into Norfolk International Airport (ORF) at 2200 Norview Ave, about 25 minutes from Hampton via the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) — though we strongly recommend padding 30–45 extra minutes during weekday rush hours and summer beach traffic, when the HRBT routinely backs up.
ORF's commercial bus pickup area is on the lower curb outside baggage claim. Our 14-passenger Sprinter Vans and 25-passenger minibuses are perfect for executive airport pickups, while 56-passenger motorcoaches with massive undercarriage bays easily handle wedding parties or military reunion groups landing with mountains of luggage.

Hampton Bachelor & Bachelorette Transportation
Hampton and the greater Peninsula deliver an underrated bachelor and bachelorette scene, and a party bus is the absolute best way to experience it safely. Start the night at Bull Island Brewing Company in the historic Phoebus district, hop over to Oozlefinch Beers & Blending tucked inside Fort Monroe National Monument (a genuinely one-of-a-kind setting), then cruise across the water for cocktails in Norfolk's Granby Street district or downtown Newport News' Hilton Village. Our 20- to 30-passenger party buses come fully loaded with full-length bars, color-changing LED lighting, premium Bluetooth sound, and wraparound perimeter seating built for celebration.
Skip the headache of designated drivers, surge-priced rideshares between cities, and HRBT traffic — your party bus driver handles all of it for one flat all-inclusive rate. For smaller intimate groups, a 14-passenger Sprinter limo with leather seating and tinted privacy windows brings the perfect VIP touch!

Hampton Birthday, Sweet 16, & Quinceañera Party Bus Rentals
Make your Hampton birthday, Sweet 16, or Quinceañera the talk of the Peninsula with a fully loaded Party Bus Chesapeake party bus! Our 15- to 25-passenger party buses come standard with color-changing LED ceiling lights, premium Bluetooth sound systems, flat-panel TVs perfect for hype videos, and wraparound seating that doubles as a dance floor on wheels. Cruise from a family dinner at the Hampton History Museum to a photo session at Buckroe Beach at golden hour, then loop downtown for dessert and dancing — all without anyone's parents stressing about parking near the waterfront.
Larger Quinceañera celebrations often rent a 35- to 50-passenger party bus to shuttle the full court and extended family between the church, the reception venue, and a photo stop at Fort Monroe's historic Old Point Comfort Light. Every driver is professionally screened and trained to keep teen celebrations fun, safe, and on schedule!

Hampton Concert Transportation & Shuttles
Few venues in Virginia carry the legendary status of the Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666), affectionately known as "The Mothership" for its decades-long history hosting Phish, the Grateful Dead, and countless major touring acts. While the venue offers ample free parking across its surrounding lots, the post-show exit onto Coliseum Drive and Mercury Boulevard turns into a 45-minute crawl after sold-out shows. A Hampton party bus or minibus rental skips the gridlock entirely — your group unloads near the main entrance off Coliseum Drive, enjoys the show, and walks straight back to a climate-controlled bus with cold drinks waiting.
For outdoor summer shows at the Hampton Coliseum lawn events or concerts crossing the water at Chartway Arena in Norfolk, we handle round-trip shuttles that completely dodge the HRBT post-event backup. Party buses with full bars and LED lighting keep the energy rolling both directions of the trip!

Hampton Corporate Event Transportation
Hampton's growing convention and defense-contracting economy means corporate transportation needs run year-round. The Hampton Roads Convention Center (1610 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666) sits adjacent to the Coliseum and hosts everything from the Mid-Atlantic Sports & Boat Show to major government contractor expos. With 344,000 square feet of meeting space and commercial bus drop-off available at the main north entrance off Coliseum Drive, our 25- to 35-passenger executive minibuses and 56-passenger motorcoaches keep your VIPs and attendees moving smoothly between the Embassy Suites Hampton Roads, the Hampton Marriott, and the convention floor.
For defense industry meetings tied to Joint Base Langley-Eustis, our drivers are experienced with main gate access protocols off LaSalle Avenue — though final base access always depends on individual credentials. WiFi, power outlets, and reclining executive seating turn the commute into a productive mobile meeting!

Hampton Private Event Transportation Services
Whether you're hosting a milestone family reunion at Buckroe Beach Park, a church group heading to a retreat in the Northern Neck, or a holiday party for your local business, a Party Bus Chesapeake private bus rental keeps your group together for one flat rate. Our 15- to 35-passenger minibuses are perfect for mid-size private gatherings around Hampton, while 56-passenger motorcoaches with onboard restrooms and undercarriage storage handle longer trips to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, or Richmond. Holiday light tour groups love booking party buses in December to cruise through the Hampton Holly Days celebration and the legendary Newport News Park Celebration in Lights drive-through display, with onboard heating and Bluetooth playlists keeping the festive energy high.
Call 757-755-8162 and we'll build a custom transportation plan around your exact private event itinerary!

Hampton Homecoming & Prom Party Bus Rentals
Hampton's high schools — Hampton High, Phoebus High, Kecoughtan, and Bethel — pack the spring prom calendar tight, and party bus demand explodes from late April through early June. Party Bus Chesapeake recommends booking your Hampton prom or homecoming bus at least 4–6 months in advance to lock in the best vehicles and pricing — last-minute bookings in April or May routinely come back with $300+/hour rates or full unavailability across the Peninsula. Our 20- to 35-passenger party buses are the most popular prom pick, featuring LED lighting, premium sound, and plenty of room for photos before everyone climbs aboard.
Drivers handle every stop on your itinerary — pre-prom photos at Fort Monroe, dinner at a downtown Hampton restaurant, the dance itself at the Hampton Roads Convention Center or a school venue, and safe rides home for every student. Parents love the peace of mind, and students love that the party never stops!

Hampton School Event Transportation
Hampton school event transportation can support field trips, campus visits, athletic travel, competitions, and class trips to the Virginia Air & Space Science Center, Hampton History Museum, Fort Monroe, Colonial Williamsburg, Richmond, or Washington, D.C. Minibuses fit smaller clubs, while full-size charter buses give larger student groups forward-facing seats and storage for backpacks, instruments, or athletic gear.

Hampton Sporting Event Transportation
Hampton is a sports-mad town with deep college and minor-league traditions. Hampton University Pirates games at the Hampton Convocation Center (100 Armistead Ave) draw passionate basketball crowds, while football kicks off at Armstrong Stadium each fall — our minibuses and party buses handle alumni tailgates and reunion groups every Pirates weekend. Across the water, Norfolk Tides baseball at Harbor Park and Norfolk Admirals hockey at Chartway Arena are popular Hampton group outings, with our charter buses skipping the HRBT parking nightmare entirely.
For major NFL trips, we run regular charter buses up I-64 to FedExField in Landover, MD for Washington Commanders games — a full-day trip that's much more enjoyable on a motorcoach with reclining seats and an onboard restroom than in five separate cars. Football tailgaters love our 56-passenger coaches with massive undercarriage bays for grills, coolers, and canopy tents!

Hampton Wedding Transportation & Shuttle Service
Hampton's waterfront and historic venues make it one of the most beautiful wedding destinations on the East Coast, and Party Bus Chesapeake keeps every guest moving on time. Picture a ceremony at the iconic Chamberlin at Fort Monroe (2 Fenwick Rd) overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, a cocktail hour at the historic Old Point Comfort Light, and a reception just down the road — our 25- to 35-passenger minibuses run continuous loops between guest hotels and the venue, completely eliminating the parking shortage at Fort Monroe's historic grounds. For larger 150+ guest weddings at the Hampton Roads Convention Center or the Embassy Suites, a pair of 56-passenger motorcoaches handles the full guest list in just one or two trips.
The bridal party rides separately in a 14-passenger Sprinter limo with plush leather seating, tinted privacy windows, and plenty of room for dresses without wrinkling. Your dedicated reservation specialist coordinates every pickup window down to the minute!

Hampton Winery Tour & Pub Crawl Transportation
Virginia's Coastal Plain wineries are a true hidden gem of the Hampton Roads region, and a Party Bus Chesapeake party bus or minibus is the only safe and stress-free way to explore them. Popular day-trip itineraries head north up I-64 toward the Williamsburg AVA, hitting Williamsburg Winery (5800 Wessex Hundred), Saudé Creek Vineyards, and New Kent Winery — all within a comfortable 45-minute drive from downtown Hampton. Closer pub crawls stay right in town with stops through historic Phoebus for craft beer at Bull Island Brewing, then over to Fort Monroe for Oozlefinch Beers & Blending in a casemate of the historic stone fort.
Our 20- to 30-passenger party buses come fully loaded with full bars (BYOB), LED lighting, and premium sound for the ride between stops. Every driver is professionally trained, and your flat all-inclusive rate means absolutely no surprises — just call 757-755-8162 to build your custom Hampton tasting itinerary!

Frequently Asked Questions
A Hampton party bus rental typically costs between $140 and $280 per hour, or $1,100 to $2,400 per day, depending on vehicle size, season, and total mileage. Smaller 14- to 20-passenger party buses run at the lower end, while loaded 40- to 50-passenger party buses with full bars and premium amenities sit at the higher end. Peak season (April–June and September–October) and weekend rates run 20–30% higher than weekday off-season pricing.
Every Party Bus Chesapeake quote is fully all-inclusive — fuel, driver gratuity, HRBT tolls, and taxes are all baked in. Call 757-755-8162 or use our online tool for an instant 30-second quote!
Yes — passengers 21 and older are welcome to bring their own alcohol onboard our Hampton party buses, as Virginia law permits BYOB on chartered passenger vehicles. Our buses come stocked with ice and coolers, but you bring your own beverages. For events with any guests under 21 (proms, Sweet 16s, school trips), alcohol is strictly prohibited, and our drivers are trained to enforce this policy without exception.
Glass bottles are discouraged for safety on bumpier sections of the HRBT and I-64; cans and plastic are strongly preferred.
Yes, with some important planning. Our drivers can drop off and pick up at the main visitor center off LaSalle Avenue or, for credentialed groups, at coordinated on-base locations — though base access ultimately depends on each passenger's credentials and current security protocols. For large groups arriving for retirement ceremonies, deployments, or unit functions, we recommend coordinating the pickup point with your base sponsor in advance.
Our reservation specialists handle Langley pickups regularly and can advise on the smoothest meeting points, including nearby off-base spots like the Bass Pro Shops parking lot on Power Plant Parkway if base access is complicated.
The HRBT is notoriously congested, especially weekday rush hours (6:30–9:30 AM eastbound, 3:30–6:30 PM westbound) and summer weekend beach traffic. Our Hampton drivers know every alternate route — the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel (MMMBT) via I-664 often shaves significant time during peak HRBT delays, even though it's slightly longer in distance. For airport pickups at Norfolk International (ORF) and major events on the Southside, we always recommend padding 30–45 extra minutes during peak hours and 60+ minutes for summer Saturdays.
Real-time VDOT traffic monitoring helps our drivers reroute on the fly.
Absolutely! One-way bus rentals from Hampton to destinations like Washington D.C., Richmond, Charlotte, New York City, or the Outer Banks are a Party Bus Chesapeake specialty. One-way pricing depends on total distance, return deadhead mileage, and seasonal demand — call 757-755-8162 with your exact pickup point, destination, headcount, and date for a fully all-inclusive quote in under 30 seconds.
One-way trips are especially popular for college move-ins, military relocations, and large family wedding parties heading to out-of-state ceremonies.
For most Hampton bookings, we recommend reserving your party bus 3–6 months in advance to secure the best vehicle selection and pricing. Peak demand events — the Hampton Jazz Festival (late June), Bay Days (September), the Hampton Cup Regatta (August), prom season (April–May), and summer wedding weekends — routinely sell out the regional fleet 6–9 months ahead. Last-minute bookings (under 30 days out) during peak season often face $50–$100/hour price premiums and very limited vehicle choice.
Off-season weekday trips in January or February can often be booked just 2–3 weeks ahead with excellent availability and pricing.

I needed a wedding shuttle in Hampton at the last minute for our June wedding, and the team was such a big help. We were trying to arrange transportation between the ceremony, reception, and hotel block near downtown, and I was worried about timing for guests. They walked me through the options quickly and helped us get a shuttle booked without making the process complicated.
With everything else going on during wedding planning, it was a huge relief to have this handled. -

Popular Hampton, Virginia Party Bus Destinations
Hampton, Virginia delivers an incredible mix of historic landmarks, waterfront beauty, and major event venues — making it one of the most fun party bus destinations on the East Coast. Here are the most popular Hampton stops our drivers visit every week with Party Bus Chesapeake groups!

Hampton Coliseum
Known affectionately as "The Mothership" by Phish fans worldwide, the Hampton Coliseum (1000 Coliseum Dr, Hampton, VA 23666) has hosted iconic acts since opening in 1970 — from Elvis to the Grateful Dead to today's biggest touring stars. The 13,800-seat venue sits in the Coliseum Central district just off I-64 Exit 263, with sprawling free parking surrounding the venue. Our charter buses and party buses drop off at the main entrance off Coliseum Drive, then stage in the designated bus areas of the surrounding lots.
Post-event traffic onto Mercury Boulevard is notoriously slow — arriving 60–90 minutes early and leaving via the back service roads (when permitted) makes for a much smoother night. Call (757) 838-4203 for venue-specific event questions.

Hampton Roads Convention Center
Adjacent to the Coliseum at 1610 Coliseum Dr, the Hampton Roads Convention Center packs 344,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space — the largest convention facility on the Peninsula. The venue hosts everything from the annual Mid-Atlantic Sports & Boat Show in February to major government contractor expos serving the nearby Langley Air Force Base ecosystem. Commercial bus drop-off is available at the main north entrance off Coliseum Drive, with our drivers staging in the large surrounding parking areas after passenger unload.
The connected Embassy Suites Hampton Roads (1700 Coliseum Dr) makes for a seamless conference hotel shuttle loop — we run continuous loops for groups all the time. The convention center sits 10 minutes from PHF airport and 25 minutes from ORF.

Fort Monroe National Monument
The historic stone fortress of Fort Monroe (41 Bernard Rd) is a National Monument and one of the most stunning wedding and event destinations in Virginia, sitting on a peninsula at the southern tip of Hampton where the Chesapeake Bay meets Hampton Roads. The grounds include the Old Point Comfort Lighthouse (active since 1802), the Casemate Museum, and the breathtaking Chamberlin Hotel. Parking inside the fort's historic walls is genuinely limited, so a Party Bus Chesapeake minibus or party bus is often the only practical way to move larger wedding parties through the grounds.
Our drivers know the narrow stone gateway clearances and the best loading zones near the Chamberlin and the Continental Park area. The Oozlefinch brewery inside a fort casemate is a must-stop on Hampton pub crawls!

Buckroe Beach Park
Hampton's beloved family beach, Buckroe Beach Park (100 First St S, Hampton, VA 23664), offers a beautifully maintained mile-long stretch of sandy Chesapeake Bay shoreline with a fishing pier, picnic shelters, a playground, and the popular Buckroe Beach Outdoor Movies and Groovin' by the Bay summer concert series. Free public parking surrounds the park, but it absolutely fills by mid-morning on summer weekends — arriving by 9 AM or via a Party Bus Chesapeake party bus skips the entire headache. Our minibuses and motorcoaches handle large family reunions, church picnics, and corporate beach days all summer long.
The undercarriage storage on full motorcoaches easily fits beach chairs, coolers, canopy tents, and grills for a full day of fun. Call (757) 850-5134 for park-specific questions.

Hampton History Museum & Downtown Hampton
The Hampton History Museum (120 Old Hampton Lane) anchors the charming downtown Hampton waterfront district, surrounded by the Virginia Air & Space Science Center, the Carousel Park, and the Hampton Marina. The compact downtown area is perfect for walking tours, with restaurants, breweries, and historic sites all within a few blocks of the museum. Our minibuses drop off along Settlers Landing Road or Queens Way, with on-street parking and the Hampton Public Parking Garage (22 Lincoln St) available for short driver stays.
Downtown Hampton hosts the annual Bay Days festival each September — our buses run continuous shuttle loops between the Coliseum Central hotels and the downtown waterfront throughout the festival weekend. Call (757) 727-1610 for museum group rates and availability.

Virginia Air & Space Science Center
The Virginia Air & Space Science Center (600 Settlers Landing Rd) is the official visitor center for NASA Langley Research Center and serves as one of the most popular school field trip destinations in the entire Hampton Roads region. Exhibits include a Mars rover, an Apollo 12 command module, hands-on flight simulators, and a 5-story IMAX theater. The center sits right on the downtown Hampton waterfront with bus drop-off available at the main Settlers Landing Road entrance.
Field trip groups can use the dedicated education entrance with advance arrangement — we recommend booking school programs 4–6 weeks ahead. Our 56-passenger motorcoaches easily handle full class trips, with the undercarriage storage perfect for lunchboxes and backpacks. Call (757) 727-0900 for group reservations and pricing!
